The latin american adventure has been
everything
I had hoped for and I still have highlights to come. The
place is so vast.
Just could not get over the size of Lake Titikaka and at
such a height. Raul has been everything and more than you
suggested. A fine Peruvian and family man. Sad to say
farewell last night. He was going home to a busy time with
the winter solstice festivals in Cusco.
I wanted to thank you for the pre birthday party Last night.
Seems I am going to have a year of celebration! After we had
ordered our meal the band arrived complete with pan pipes
playing happy birthday with the cake which was a masterpiece.
Like a trifle, layered sponge separated with jelly and fruit
and covered with mock cream The decoration on the cake is
suitable to take home. That will be used or shown again.

I must thank you most sincerely for the amazing and
wonderful trip through Peru and into Bolivia that I recently
experienced under your care and guidance. I am, of course,
particularly grateful for your help when I was sick, and for
your patience and kindness throughout. You can be sure that
I will recommend Royal Crown Adventures to any of my friends
who travel to South America in the future, and some of them
will.
I have found it very difficult to settle back to work, and
must admit that it has taken some time for me to feel
properly well again. It seems that my body is just not
designed to operate well at altitude, but in spite of that I
could never regret the trip and will hold dear the memories
of your beautiful country.

"For many years I dreamed of walking in
the Andes and meeting Inca artifacts and of standing face to
face with the moai on Rapanui. Now I have done all those
things and more and it all seems like a dream really. Anyway
it is lovely to be home again and to have your lovely
welcoming cards awaiting me. I know how much meticulous
planning was needed for us to have such a smoothly flowing
troublefree time in South America.
Words cannot describe what a treasure Raul was throughout,
but you know that. He dealt with everything from eating
guinea pigs (my granddaughter is never going to speak to me
again) to street rioting with the same wonderful cheery
demeanour. And encouraged us to singlehandedly save the
economy of Peru, well Cusco at least.
Best places we stayed were Los Alpes, las Mercedes, Urubamba
and Cusco.
And there was flying over the desert - and so it goes ... I
suppose my least favourite place was Santiago but I spent a
rapturous afternoon at the museum of Pre-Columbian Art there...
I am writing a treatise on the dogs of Peru...
Once again many many thanks to you and to Karen for making

Viajo a Peru cada ano desde 1997 para
realizar estudios sobre las piedras talladas de los Incas.
Pero estoy enamorada de Peru no solo por razon de mi

que comprender sus ricas culturas antiguas en el contexto de

historia que celebran en sus fiestas frecuentes, desfiles,
bailes, y musica.

The Inca Trail was just great.
The scenery was magnificent and I really enjoyed the walking.
There were a few times that were a little testing! but on
the whole I felt pretty happy about the whole trip. I think
we all knew that we had been walking when we had finished,
and there are rather a
lot of steps arenb t there! I really enjoyed my whole time
in Peru, especially Cusco, and am keen to return.

Hi Raul,
Sorry it's taken me so long to say thankyou for the
wonderful holiday. Really enjoyed it and saw so many
fascinating places. Thankyou too for looking after me when I
was sick in Bolivia. I am glad that I went on the Lake
Titicaca trip even though I was a burden to you all! Looking
back I would have been so disappointed if I hadn't seen the
reed villages etc.
But I'm now ready to put all my photos in
an album and relive the trip.
Hope everything is fine in Peru.
Again thanks for all your help, in guiding, changing money,
when I was sick and just being there to keep us safe. A
memorable trip.
